Measuring Your Countertops

To provide a precise quote for your new countertops, we need accurate initial dimensions. While our team will take final professional measurements before fabrication, your preliminary measurements help us give you the best guidance and pricing from the start.

What You'll Need

• Tape measure

• Pencil and paper

• Phone to take photos

1. Sketch Your Layout

Draw the shape of your kitchen or bathroom counters from a top-down view. Don’t worry if it’s not perfect— it’s just a rough outline.

Include:

• All countertop sections

• Sink and stove placements

• Any islands or peninsulas

• Backsplash areas (if needed)

• Edge (eased, half bullnose, full bullnose)

2. Measure Each Section

• Use a tape measure to get the length of each straight section in inches.

• Measure along the wall from one end of the counter to the other.

• Standard depth is 25.5 inches (front to back), but measure just in case.

• For islands, measure both the length and depth.

3. Add Notes For Cutouts

Mark areas for:

• Sink(s)

• Cooktop or range

• Faucets or soap dispensers

• Any special cutouts (pop-up outlets, etc.)

Extra Info

Vanity Backsplash Height

• Standard is 4 inches.

Overhangs

• If you want an overhang (for bar seating or style), note how far you’d like it to extend— typically 10–12 inches.
